Live PD police chase results in felony charges for Terre Haute man

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The nation was watching Friday night when one Terre Haute man led police on a short pursuit.

Terre Haute police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Samuel Weihert, 34, of Terre Haute, when he failed to use a turn signal at 13th and Locust.

Weihert took off, leading authorities on a brief chase that ended at 25th and Locust. The chase was broadcast on Live PD Friday night.

Weihert was arrested on several charges including felony resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and drug possession.

He was also found to have outstanding warrants.
