LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Linton Beauty College is making a return after 27 years out of business.
The college originally opened several decades ago and closed due to healthcare complications of the owners. The owner’s granddaughter, Tera Orman, is now reopening the business.
The college will give people in Linton the opportunity to study cosmetology without traveling far.
Orman was inspired to reopen the beauty college in honor of her daughter Madi who passed away from cancer in 2019.
“This is a new year and if you have a passion for this then its time to do something for yourself, and do something that is rewarding,” Orman said. “Cosmetology is an amazing business and it’s an amazing career choice. There are so many fun opportunities. There are opportunities to grow and expand in other areas.”
Classes will begin Monday, Feb. 7. Enrollment information can be found on their Facebook page.
