LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Linton-Stockton school corporation is asking for public support to win a quarter of a million dollar cash prize.

According to LSSC Superintendent Kathy Goad, the organization has won a Next Level Educational Experiences and Opportunities award from the Indiana Department of Education Excellence in Education program which results in the group being awarded $250,000.

But after winning that award, the organization needs the public’s help to secure an additional $250,000 through a video competition against two other high schools. Those schools are Batesville High School and Purdue Polytechnic High School.

The winner is given another $250,000 to be used in enhancing academic programming at the schools.

Votes can be cast for a winner between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (EDT) Friday. The winner will be announced during an IDOE Gala event Friday evening.
