CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Looks like the last showing of “South Pacific” at Lincoln Trail College is not happening Saturday evening.

According to Chris Forde, the college’s director of marketing, the performance has been canceled following Friday’s massive storms and those directly affected by it.

“Due to the unprecedented circumstances in our local community, we regret to inform you that we will need to cancel this evening’s performance of South Pacific,” Forde said. “We want to thank all of our supporters of The Arts at Lincoln Trail College and we want to extend our thoughts and prayers to those impacted by the storm and the emergency responders helping with the situation.”

As of 12 p.m. Saturday, emergency crews are still working to help those affected by the storms. In Sullivan County, at least three people died due to the severe weather.
