GREENE COUNTY — Indiana State Police last week made two arrests following a lengthy investigation into methamphetamine dealing in Greene County.

After authorities searched a home in the 5800 block of Taylor Ridge Road, Brandy Shifflett, 40, of Bedford was arrested on active warrants out of Lawrence and Owen Counties.

During a body cavity search of Shifflett at the Greene County Jail, authorities found methamphetamine and marijuana, leading to additional charges for possession.

The homeowner, Garry Chaney, 52, of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of justice.

Authorities also found what they believe to be an illegally taken whitetail deer on Chaney’s property.
