Original: Drivers who regularly travel west of Terre Haute via I-70 will soon see lane restrictions as construction gets underway.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says that crews will be restricting lanes and shoulder access from the state line to SR 641 as part of a resurfacing project expected to begin on or just after May 2.
I-70 will be restricted to a single lane during construction. Operations are expected to be performed primarily at night with unrestricted lanes between noon and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The $12 million project is expected to be complete by June 30, 2023
