TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Friday, Kroger presented a check to the Red Cross to help with the ongoing tornado relief efforts.
The check is for $1,435. Tyson Stegall, the district manager with Kroger, said after the tornado went through, Kroger activated a way for customers to donate to the relief efforts. That isn’t the only way Kroger is helping, as Stegall explained during Friday’s check presentation.
“We’re going to donate a thousand dollars worth of gift cards to the red cross just to help in any way that we can,” said Stegall.
Stegall said it’s important for Kroger to support the communities that support them.
