KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – It is officially Pride month, which means events and celebrations will be taking place all over the Wabash Valley.

Knox County’s Pride festival, Rainbow Over the Bridge, will take place on June 17 from 4-9 p.m. at its new location in Patrick Henry Square in downtown Vincennes. This marks the fifth year that the Wabash Valley Progressives has hosted Rainbow Over the Bridge.

“This year, the focus of Rainbow Over the Bridge is believing in yourself. We want to share a message of acceptance and hope. We want the LGBTQ+ community to know that we are here for them. We’ll be sharing stories to inspire confidence and let people – especially youth – know that they are not alone,” said co-coordinator Fernando Lozano.

The family-friendly event will feature everything from kids games to live music and a variety of food vendors. Festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. with live musical performances from Josh Sollman and local band Buck Rogers Clark followed by a 6:30 p.m. drag show featuring Brock Harder.
