VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Knox County Water said Tuesday that customers may be experiencing dirty water.
According to officials at the utility company, this is a result of a water tower being refilled by Vincennes Water.
Residents who see dirty water in their homes are urged to avoid using hot water to prevent it from going through the hot water heater.
Once dirty water reaches past the meter of a home, the only way to clear it up is to flush the line. Information on how to do this is available on the Knox County Water Facebook page.
There is no boil order at this time, but customers should avoid doing laundry until the issue is cleared up.
