KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: Knox County Sheriff’s Office sent a release that said a preliminary investigation revealed that a semi failed to slow down in a construction zone that was reduced to one lane. This caused him to rear-end a car. This caused a chain reaction involving a third car.
There was only one non-life-threatening injury reported. That person was a passenger in the third car involved.
Knox County Dispatch confirmed Highway 50 has been reopened.

Knox County Dispatch confirmed the information at 6:34 p.m. Officers have responded to the scene and residents should avoid the area if possible.
