TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A year-old murder case will soon be going to trial in Vigo County Court.

A jury was selected Monday in the case against Clarence Bell Jr. who was charged with murder and obstruction of justice following the shooting death of Ray Rose.

In September of last year, Rose was found dead near the area of 18th and Wabash in Terre Haute with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

According to authorities, while searching Bell’s home they found bullets that matched the one found in Rose’s head.

Police also said surveillance video showed Bell’s truck driving near the crime scene during the time of the murder, and Bell allegedly said he would shoot Rose following an altercation between the two men.

The jury trial is set to begin in December.
