TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — This year’s Give to Blue Day resulted in a record breaking single-day giving total for Indiana State University.

ISU has announced that a total of $1,334,614 was raised, a 30% increase over the funds raised in 2021.

A total of 1,845 donors from all 50 states and seven countries contributed during the 24-hour fundraising event.

Sycamore Athletics as a department led all entities on campus raising $574,865 in their Give to Blue Day efforts.

“It was an extraordinary day for Indiana State University, and we extend our sincere appreciation to all who made a gift on Give to Blue Day. It was gratifying to see so many Sycamores come together for events here on campus and in the local community to support ISU. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, friends, students, and faculty, the impact of Give to Blue Day continues to grow and advance our great university.”

14 Community partners, many owned or operated by ISU Alumni, participated by holding promotions and encouraging donations or contributing a portion of their sales to ISU.

The next Give to Blue Day is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
