INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) – A junior at Indiana State University has been named to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, Governor Eric Holcomb announced.

Anne Bowen of Terre Haute, is an honor student at ISU and will serve on the Commission through June 30, 2022. She replaces outgoing student member Coleen Gabhart and is a full voting member of the Commission.

“I am excited to represent the student voice and dive into the important work the Commission has been involved in for many years,” Bowen said. “I’ve been lucky to have two great internships and a lot of very positive experiences to help prepare me for my life after college. I want to help other students have similar experiences and I believe the work we are doing at the Commission is a good way to accomplish that goal.”

The Commission’s membership is comprised of one faculty member, one student member, a representative from each of the state’s nine congressional districts and three at-large members.
