SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Shelburn woman is being held on a $50,000 bond following her arrest for child molestation charges.

According to Indiana State Police, the investigation began following a report that an adult woman had molested a boy younger than 14-years-old. Following ISP’s investigation, a report was sent to the Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office, who requested an arrest warrant related to the case.

On August 21, a Sullivan County judge granted the warrant, and police arrested 30-year-old Rachel L. Martin, of Shelburn.

Martin was reportedly arrested without incident and taken to the Sullivan County Jail where she was reportedly being held on a $50,000 cash bond. Martin was preliminarily charged with the level 1 felony charge of child molesting.

Agencies assisting in the matter were the Sullivan County Department of Child Services and Susie’s Place.
