SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 41 and SR 48 caused a traffic backup on Wednesday morning.

According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames the wreck occurred when Nicholas Cartwright, 24, of Newton Illinois disregarded the stoplight at U.S. 41 and SR 48 and was hit by a 16-year-old driver. Cartwright was cited for disregarding the traffic signal.
