NASHVILLE, Ind (WTWO/WAWV) — Investigators with Indiana State Police have been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting Wednesday.

It happened around 9:00 a.m. at a home in rural Brown County.

Officers were called to the home on a report of a possibly suicidal subject. When law enforcement arrived, the male reportedly came outside and pointed a gun toward the officers.

One officer shot the suspect using a department-issued handgun, according to a statement from ISP.

The subject was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. We do not have an update on the person’s condition at this time.
