KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Bicknell couple was arrested on Thursday afternoon for neglect of a dependent. 

According to a press release from the Indiana State Police, Aaron Bourland, 42, and Amanda Bourland, 34, were suspected of neglecting their four children ranging from 2 months old to 13 years old. An investigation was conducted and law enforcement found that the children in question were subjected to poor living conditions, had limited food, and were not receiving proper medical care. 

The Knox County Prosecutor reviewed the reports and findings from the investigation and filed charges against Aaron and Amanda Bourland for neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony. Arrest warrants were then issued on Thursday, April 20.

At around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, the ISP arrested both Aaron and Amanda Bourland at their home where they were then taken to the Knox County Jail and are currently being held on bond. 

The Bourland’s four children are currently in the custody of the Indiana Division of Child Services.
