SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — People in the area can soon expect lane restrictions on US 41 near Carlisle.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, beginning on or around May 15, crews will begin planned lane restrictions along US 41 near Carlisle as the first phase of a multiple-phase project designed to improve the intersection of US 41 and State Road 58.

The first phase includes the reconstruction of the shoulders on the outside of the roadway, which is expected to last two weeks but could be impacted by weather.
The project will help to reduce conflict at the targeted intersection and is expected to last through early August, with progress being dependent on weather.
Those interested in staying up to date with the project’s progress, road, and lane closures, and other traffic alerts, can visit INDOT’s social media pages, like Facebook, and Twitter, or by using the Trafficwise website.
