VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Transportation has recently announced an upcoming local reconstruction project that will result in the closure of Springhill Drive in Terre Haute for several months.
According to a press release from INDOT, starting either on or after April 24, Springhill Drive will be closed from 7th Street to Erie Canal Rd. while the reconstruction project is completed. There will be signage that will direct traffic around the closure, and the area is expected to reopen after mid-November as long as the weather permits.
This project will be conducted by White Construction, LLC for $4.7 million. The reconstruction project will include milling, an overlay, and the reconstruction of a section of Springhill Drive. The project is expected to improve safety in the area.

Residents and motorists in the area can stay informed and up-to-date on road closures, conditions, and traffic alerts at any time through INDOT social media like Facebook and Twitter, or through TrafficWise.
