SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers in Sullivan and Greene Counties should be aware of a project that’s caused the closure of a portion of State Road 48.

According to INDOT, the chip and seal project is located between Hymera and Jasonville. As crews work the road has been closed.

A detour is in place, and INDOT says driver’s can follow the signs to get around the closure.

The road is expected to reopen by the end of the day Friday.
