Indiana woman facing endangerment, neglect charges following OVWI arrest

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Greencastle woman is facing child neglect and endangerment charges after being arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with young children in the car.

According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, 29-year-old Kaitlyn Vesey was pulled over Tuesday just outside of Bellmore. Deputies determined she was under the influence. They also found methamphetamine, MDMA, marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Vesey was transported to the Parke County Jail on the OVWI and neglect charges as well as multiple drug-related offenses.

A passenger in the vehicle, Peter Benedict, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
