MARTINSVILLE, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — As festivals and fairs get underway across the state, organizers are welcoming families back to the 76th annual Martinsville Agricultural Fair.
Wednesday evening those who attended got to enjoy barrel racing, food, petting zoo, and a truck pull. Carnival rides will also be set up all week from 6 pm till 8 pm.
Treasurer of Martinsville Agricultural Fair Board Barret Von Dehren said this event is big for the community.
“A lot of individuals have grown up around the fair. They have it in their blood,” Von Dehren said. “My parents went to this event, my grandparents and now I’m proud to take my kids here. So, it’s a big event for our community. We are an ag fair so it’s important for us to put the agricultural back into it.”
Last day of the agricultural fair is Saturday June 18.
