WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The Saint Mary’s Village Catholic Parish brought back an annual event that helps provide meals for thousands of families in the community.

Over 200 people participated in the 11th annual Hunger Bust 5k, which takes place on the Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods campus. In total, they raised more than $14,000 for the Providence Food Pantry, a ministry connected to the Sisters of Providence which serves around 3,000 families in West Terre Haute.

The pantry is open on the first four Thursdays of each month from 8-10:30 a.m. ET.
