TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – Hamilton Center provided local families with necessary supplies ahead of the academic year Saturday.
Thousands came out for the “We Live Back-to-School Bash” at Rose Park.
The organization provided kids with everything from free school supplies, haircuts, giveaways, and a bounce house.
In attendance were several partners who also provided free additional resources.
CEO of the Hamilton Center Melvin L. Burks said this is a great way to remind the community of their value.
“We live in a community that gives so we are just a piece of the entire puzzle in providing things for those induvials that are less fortunate than us,” Burks said.
