VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Tuesday, the Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity broke ground on two new homes.

The names will be built, on 3rd Avenue in Terre Haute. Board Vice President Drucella Thomas said it has been several years since the local habitat organization built a home.

Thomas also mentioned that the organization is grateful to community sponsors, who are helping with this project.

“This is a low-income area and it’s wonderful to see that new houses can be put in this area. It will just build the confidence of the families that are here,” Thomas said.
