MONROE CO, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– One person is dead and another seriously injured following a head-on collision Friday morning in Monroe County.
According to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Zachary Sieger of Putnam County was traveling West on State Road 45 around 11:30 a.m. when he traveled left of center and crashed into oncoming traffic near the intersection of N. Eller Road. Haylee Keller, 32, of Greene County was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.
Siegler suffered “incapacitating injuries” to his lower legs and torso. The crash remains under investigation.
