LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — According to new rankings from the federal government, the Greene County General Hospital is among the top hospitals in the United States.
Using a one-star to five-star ranking system, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) gave GCGH a five-star ranking in patient experience, along with an overall 5-star rating.
The rankings are based on data in categories including mortality, hospital readmissions, safety measures, timely and effective care, and patient experience.

The 5-star Overall rating reaffirms GCGH’s position as a cornerstone of excellence in healthcare that remains dedicated to continuously raising the bar and setting new standards for patient care,” Jill Raines GCGH Chief of Clinical Quality said.
According to Medicare.gov, GCGH is one of two hospitals in the state with a five-star ranking in patient experience and an overall five-star rating.
