TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – The Terre Haute Farmer Market has seen a great community turnout as they are only a couple Saturdays into their annual summer market at the Meadows Shopping Center.

Over 25 local vendors showcased their selection from fresh produce, flowers, skin care, and apparel, at the June 4th Farmers Market.

The Farmers Market has anticipated the number of vendors will increase each week, as more produce will be in season.

Market Manager Carrie Schoffstall said it’s important to support local businesses and artists.

“It brings so many people together and allows those who are shopping in our community to interact with the makers and businesses they are supporting,” Schoffstall said . “It keeps their money here locally.”

The Terre Haute Farmers Market will be open every Saturday May 14th-September 24th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. eastern time.
