Good Samaritan to offer multiple flu shot opportunities throughout October

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Good Samaritan has several opportunities for locals to get a flu vaccine in October.

Good Samaritan Community Health Services will be hosting a flu vaccine clinic for adults age 19 and up from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Oct. 12 and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Health Services located at 615 Dubois Street in Vincennes, Ind.

Those wanting a flu vaccine need to make sure to bring their insurance card and ID. Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted, as well as select commercial payers. Masks are required.

The Good Samaritan Physician Network will also be offering drive-through flu vaccine clinics for adults ages 19 and up in the parking lot next to the Medical Center of Vincennes, located at 406 N. First Street in Vincennes, Ind. Patients can receive the flu vaccine from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13; from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16; and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18. A mask will be required to be worn while receiving the vaccine, and patients will need to have ID and insurance card.

For those who cannot attend a designated clinic time, Community Health Services can also offer adults the flu vaccine by appointment. Call (812) 885-8753 to schedule an appointment to receive the flu vaccine.

Good Samaritan Pediatrics is also organizing a flu vaccine clinic for patients at both of their locations. Dr. Heather Nichols’ patients at GSPN Kids can receive their vaccine from 3 to 7 p.m. on October 7, 12 and 21 at 514 S. Ninth Street in Vincennes.

Pediatric patients of Dr. Pacheco and Dr. Suanes can receive their flu vaccines from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 26 and 28 in their office located at 528 N. First Street in Vincennes.

Masks are required at both locations and patients need to have their insurance card and ID. Children must be patients of Good Samaritan Physician Network, be six months of age or older and be accompanied by a guardian or another adult given permission on the Consent to Treat form.

Only flu shots will be given at these appointments. No routine vaccines will be available.
