VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local hospital brought the community together Wednesday to discuss something that impacts every family–healthcare.

Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes hosted a presentation called “The State of Healthcare,” to explore a variety of topics ranging from workforce challenges to price transparency. Another big topic of the day was access to care.

“We have got to have more access points and they need to be access points outside the four walls of this hospital and off-campus,” Rob McLin, CEO of Good Samaritan said. “Our vision is a regional center. So we have 11 counties that we serve. That means we need to have a presence in those 11 counties to be able to be there for the patients that need us.”

Good Samaritan Hospital recently unveiled a new website to make it easier for patients to access information.
