BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — What started in 2020, as a way to get out of the house during COVID, has now turned into an annual event.

The Brazil Cruise, will be taking place this Saturday May 6. Organizer asks that everyone meets at Forest Park between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Then all participants will leave the park to cruise around downtown Brazil. This annual cruise is a fun community gathering to have fun, visit the town, and show off your car.

Organizer Eric Jensen said it’s a great way to show love for Brazil.

“Originally thought it would be a one time deal and everybody loved it, and wanted to keep doing it,” Jensen said. “I’m just happy that to show off the community of Brazil. We’re a small town that a lot of people have a lot to be proud of here in Brazil.”

The event is free and has no set end time. Organizer just asks that you only drive street legal vehicles and to keep the noise down after 10 p.m. out of respect for the community.
