TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Folks looking for a free hot breakfast are in luck this weekend in Terre Haute.

The Secular Franciscans and Friends of Terre Haute will serve up curbside and carry-out orders of biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage, and scrambled eggs as part of the event. Additionally, visitors will be able to pick up “To Go” grocery bags filled with Canned goods, fresh fruit, fruit cups, milk, juice, cereal, and snacks. The group said the To Go bags are meant to help residents out on a cold weekend.

The St. Benedict Soup Kitchen, located at 9th and Walnut Streets in Terre Haute, will host the giveaway. Breakfast begins being served Saturday, Jan 22. at 9 a.m. with service running until 10:30 a.m.
