TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Health will be offering free drive-through COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics from noon to 8 p.m. next Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 13-15 at the Vigo County Fairgrounds. No appointment will be necessary and people may stay in their cars the whole time, a news release said.
Both PCR and rapid antigen tests will be available for anyone ages 6 months and older. Testing for children under 2 years old will require parental assistance, the news release said.
Both the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines will be available. The Johnson & Johnson is a single dose vaccine, while the Pfizer vaccine requires a second dose to fully protect against the virus.
Anyone 18 years or older will have the option to choose which vaccine they receive. However, those ages 12-17 must receive the Pfizer vaccine and have parental consent.
