Former U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly to visit Terre Haute, meet locals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Former U.S. Sen. from Indiana Joe Donnelly will be in Terre Haute Friday. Donnelly will be a featured guest at an American Rescue Plan evening.

The event, which will discuss the COVID-19 Stimulus Package, will be free and open to the public. It will be held at the IUOE 841 Operating Engineers Hall located on S. US 41 in Terre Haute. The reception will start at 5 p.m. Friday and Donnelly will speak at 6 p.m.

Donnelly, according to the press release, was a key figure in securing funding for the almost-complete Veterans’ Clinic being built in Eastern Vigo County. According to a Donnelly representative, he wants to give a special invitation to local veterans and their families to come meet him Friday.
