TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Update: One person has been displaced following a house fire Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute.

Terre Haute Fire Chief Bill Berry said that the call came in at approximately 6:34 p.m. in the 1500 block of S. 21st Street. The original call listed the home as an occupied structure, but Berry said fortunately the person inside was able to escape without injury.

Fire crews remained on the scene for approximately 2 hours. The home is a duplex with the fire being contained to one of the two units.

Red Cross has been contacted to assist the displaced person. The cause of the fire was ruled as undetermined.
