SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A train vs commercial vehicle crash occurred in Sullivan County Friday.
According to Deputy Justin Copeland of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 9:38 a.m. Friday at the railroad crossing on E. CR 400 N. between US 41 and CR 50 E.
Deputy Copeland said the driver of the FedEx vehicle told them she didn’t hear the train until the last second and had already pulled onto the tracks when the train collided with the front end of her vehicle.
Deputy Copeland said no one was injured in the incident.
Sullivan Fire Department, Sullivan Police Department, CSX, and the Sullivan Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
