Father arrested, 2 sons uninjured, following DUI accident

A Vincennes man is behind bars after driving under the influence and wrecking his truck with his two sons inside.
 
At approximately 7:20 p.m. Sunday, a single-vehicle crash was reported on SR 67 near Bruceville.
 
When an Indiana State Police trooper arrived on scene, he found a pickup truck had left the roadway and overturned. Two boys, ages 9 and 10, were also found uninjured at the crash site.
 
A nearby homeowner witnessed the driver, later identified as the father of the two boys, Brandon L. Davis, fleeing the scene. He was quickly located. He was taken to a Good Samaritan Hospital where he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .24 percent.
 
The two boys were released to their mother.
 
Davis, 37, of Vincennes, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with passenters under 18, driving while intoxicated with a prior DUI, negleft of a dependent, driving while suspended and leaving the scene of the crash. He was transported to Knox County Jail.
