Family of a man found in Daviess County continue their search for answers

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. — After a man missing man from Daviess County being identified, his family still searches for answers.

Dan Grannan went missing in August of 2019. His body was found in September of 2020 and was later identified in January of 2021.

Detectives told his daughter Lori Jones that the investigation into his death is still open.

Jones says the family has been on an emotional roller coaster over the last year and a half and COVID hasn’t made things any easier.

“Of course I just broke down. I mean I broke down. You know people think we should be relieved that we found him and we are,” said Jones. “We are very relieved they found him.”

She says though the family saw this day coming of him being identified it was still hard to hear when she received the call from detectives.

The family is currently in the process of making funeral arrangements.
