TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Going for walks and having fun at the playground were some of the ways people in the community enjoyed Wednesday’s beautiful weather.
“I like it sunny!” answered the 3-year-old son of Bobbie Jo, a Terre Haute resident who said they decided to visit Fairbanks park.
“We’ve been cooped up in the house with crazy weather and living in Indiana, so it was nice to get out and get my little 3-year-old some exercise,” Bobbie Jo said.
Many others had the same idea, like Miranda from West Terre Haute, who decided to visit the park with her granddaughter.
“I just think it’s really good for you to get out and get some sunshine and fresh air. It cheers everybody up and makes everybody feel better when you’re getting outside,” Miranda said.
Jennie Donovan, who moved to Terre Haute in the past year, brought her dog Duke out to the park.
“After the rain and the snow and the wind, I mean how can you not appreciate a day like today?” she said. “The sunshine, the kids out playing, the dogs at the park, and it’s such a great, great, beautiful place to be.”
