It has a 58 acre lake to enjoy. You can swim, fish and rent kayaks and canoes.
“There’s a lot of activities, so it’s become kind of a family tradition for a lot of families,” said the park’s property manager, Joe Compton.
The park has 150 electric camping sights and another 89 non-electric sites. You’re encouraged to book early.
“We also have 10 family cabins and 155 person group camp,” added Joe Compton.
The 1,500 seat fully covered Lincoln Amphitheater was built back in 1987 and remains popular today. It hosts concerts.
You can also find the Lincoln Bicentennial Plaza. It was erected in 2008 as part of Lincoln’s 200th birthday celebration. The goal of the plaza is to educate and inspire visitors.
“It’s very popular area for people to visit and reflect upon,” commented Joe Compton. “It’s kind of our main tribute to Lincoln’s time here in Indiana.”
