CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: According to the Clark County IL E-911 Facebook page, the emergency and non-emergency phone lines are back up and running.


Original: The emergency phone lines in Clark County are reportedly down as of approximately 9:00 a.m. on Monday.

According to the Clark County IL E-911 Facebook page, Frontier Communications has announced a fiber has been cut in the state, which has impacted Clark County. There are reportedly crews on scene to make repairs, but no timeline has been given on how long the repairs will take. 

The emergency phone lines impacted include Clark County’s E-911 emergency and non-emergency phone lines as well as the Clark County Sheriff’s Office’s non-emergency phone lines.

The post also notes that all emergency calls will be forwarded to the “backup PSAP, Crawford County E-911″ line. People will then be prompted to leave their name, address, and callback information along with the description of their emergency.
