TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV)– An effort is underway to preserve the historic Coca-Cola mural on the outside wall of the Vigo County History Center.

The familiar and iconic wall has to be repaired because deteriorating masonry has caused water to enter the interior walls on all three floors and the basement. Once repairs are completed, History Center officials plan to repaint the mural.

The History Center is trying to raise money for the mural by encouraging the purchase of “virtual bricks”, for as little as five dollars. It’s called the Brick by Brick campaign.

Mailers about the fundraising effort will be delivered, also those interested can purchase bricks through the History Center’s website.
