WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Saturday was the perfect day to be in West Terre Haute for Easter celebrations.

Today, the Highland Church hosted their 3rd annual Community Block Party.

Located in the parking lot at West Terre Haute’s I.G.A., residents were able to participate in numerous activities ranging from face painting, jumping in bounce houses, or riding bumper carts.

Highland Church Pastor, Ryan Thomas, said he was pleased with the event’s turnout.

“It’s so important to get the community out. One, to celebrate Easter, and two, just to have a good time. Let’s all just get back in our community and have a great time,” Thomas said.

At 11 a.m., the Highland Church plans on having an Easter egg hunt after their service.
