KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Duke Energy facility in Edwardsport made a record donation to the United Way of Knox County through Duke’s Power of Giving Campaign. 

According to a press release from a Duke Energy representative, the Duke Energy Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) Edwardsport Plant conducted the Duke’s Power of Giving Campaign through a silent auction with 95% of employees participating. 

The campaign resulted in a donation of $21,081.00 which was then given to the United Way of Knox County. 

The presentation and acceptance of the check were attended by multiple Duke Energy IGCC representatives including IGCC employees Caleb Johnson, Alex McKinely, Jeff Hamilton, UWKC director Mark Hill, Campaign co-chair Laura Bogard, Kurt Phegley of Duke Energy, and Campaign co-chair Robin Montgomery.
