DUGGER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak facing the United States, Dugger Union Community Schools has decided to switch the 2020 David Land Memorial 5K/Dog Walk to a Virtual Fun Run.

A virtual run means that participants will complete a 5K or 1 mile dog walk and submit results to duggerunionschools.org/DL5k.  Results must be received by 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 10. The week of April 13, race directors will combine the results of the 5K and issue certificates.

Participants of the 1 mile dog walk will receive participation certificates.

For participants who have already registered, log on to Run Sign-up and transfer the race to the virtual 5K.  Next, run or walk sometime between Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5. Those who still need to register may do so at www.duggerunionschools.org/DL5k.

T-shirts will be awarded at the conclusion of the virtual race. Participants may make arrangements for pick up at DUCS or have the shirt shipped. Addresses must be updated in Run Signup.

Participants may request a refund until Tuesday, March 31.  Any refund request received after March 31 will not be approved.  All refund requests should be emailed to tarthur@duggerunionschools.org.
