WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — According to a post made by the Washington Police Department, a woman was arrested after WPD found around 14.6 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle she was operating.

On Tuesday, Feb. 7, after a driver had committed multiple traffic violations, WPD stopped the driver, identified as 46-year-old Shirley Coker, and detected what they believed to be methamphetamine in the vehicle. 

Officers searched and located the 14.6 grams of methamphetamine in Coker’s vehicle. Coker was then arrested on charges of dealing methamphetamine. 

Coker’s pre-trial conference is currently scheduled for March 7 at 8:30 a.m. and the jury trial is currently scheduled for June 20 at 9:00 a.m.
