TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Families in need will receive holiday food baskets thanks to the community’s generosity.
Our station partnered with Midas in Terre Haute and Baesler’s Market for the Drive Out Hunger Food Drive.
Food donations were picked up Friday morning and distributed to Hamilton Center, which will then give them to its consumers who are in need.
“The holidays are always a difficult time for some of our families. They may be worried about food, making sure they have everything for their families to take care of them during the winter time and Christmas, and we want to make sure we are taking some of that burden off of them,” says Dwight Weaver, Program Manager of Child Adolescent Services at Hamilton Center.
The food drive also provided donations to several local organizations to give to those in need around Thanksgiving.
We thank the Wabash Valley for their donations that helped make this effort possible.
