TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – The Wabash Valley Dragway has invited racers and race fans to join them for the 24th Annual Final Call Promotions` Bernie Mann Memorial No Delay Nationals.
The event was started by family members of Mann as a way to honor his time as a foot break drag racer.
May 27th-29th contests and races will be held.
Many cars have already raced the 8th mile drag strip for the Burnout Contest Saturday.
The Dragway has estimated over 300 entries for this weekends races.
Harry Eversole said the race is held for his late father every Memorial Day weekend as he was a veteran.
“It’s a time for us to see a lot of old friends, and a lot of people that knew our father normally come out here to the facility,” Eversole said. “Many of their children and grandchildren come out as well to help us celebrate this race.”
Tickets for the race can be bought at the gate through Sunday. Each ticket includes a Pitt Pass.
