TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It’s not just residents who are doing some spring cleaning.

The downtown Terre Haute community is also getting ready for the warmer months. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce held its clean-up Tuesday afternoon.

Volunteers helped pick up trash and pull weeds in an effort to beautify downtown for the spring. It’s an effort the Chamber tries to do seasonally.

“We’re really excited to do this first one. We’re going to in May, another cleanup that really involves more mulching and flower beds all of those sorts of things” Director of Community Engagement with the Terre Haute Chamber Josh Alsip said. “But overall, we’re excited with all of the momentum that downtown has.”

The Chamber also asked downtown businesses to take down their crow deterrents as spring gets underway.
