Do 2 good deeds at once — clean up Terre Haute, raise money for charity

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Area residents have an opportunity to perform two good deeds simultaneously — keeping Terre Haute clean while supporting local nonprofit organizations.

On Saturday May 15, those who participate in a city clean-up will raise money for their favorite nonprofit. Tatem & Associates/Burkhart Insurance Agency will donate $10 for every bag of trash a person fills to the group that person has designated. The agency’s goal is to contribute $250 to participants’ organizations.

Tatem & Associates office manager Rebecca Waggoner said, “I know several of the not-for-profits in the area with COVID have struggled, so I think it will be a great way to help them out and clean up the city at the same time.”

The May 15 event is scheduled from 9 a.m.-noon. Those wishing to help or wanting more information can call Tatem & Associates/Burkhart Insurance Agency at (812) 235-6007.
